  John Spencer Ellis has always had an interest in martial arts going back to the days of watching Bruce Lee on TV.  As a child, he studied Judo and learned boxing fundamentals from his father who boxed in the Army.  Since 1992, John has been studying Northern Eagle Claw Kung-fu at the Shaolin School, where he holds a 2nd degree black belt.  

   Kung-Fu Fitness™ is a combination of kung-fu fundamental movements and principles combined with proper biomechanics and aerobic conditioning.  To simplify the understanding of the complex art of Eagle Claw kung-fu, the “clawing” hand position has been removed in Kung-Fu Fitness™ and replaced with effective (and easier-to-follow) fist strikes and palm strikes.
